I haven’t had any knives on CG in a while. This particular carving set from Eva Solo ($110) caught my eye because of its elegance. Very sleek lines, very modern take. Plus, no wood handle means no cracked handles.

Think I’m referring to music? You’d be wrong. It’s a cooking gadget. It slices up veggies into even strips, but can really irk you if you don’t do it right.
So, OXO has stepped up after one confused customer blogged her frustrations. They are going to hold a support group! If you are in the […]

The Corn Zipper from Kuhn Rikon "zips" the corn off the cob.
Unlike using a knife, the corn zipper is curved to hug the shape of the corn cob and zip the kernels right into your bowl. No wasted corn, no mess.
This handy gadget is $11.95

These are called ‘Basic Knives’, even though they are anything but. Designed by Caroline Noordijk, each knife brings multi-purpose functionality. The point was to make other tools redundant by adding more cutting actions into each knife.

This is just about the only "safe" place to stick a knife into an electrical outlet.
The "No-No Knife set" is designed by Alexander Reh. His brief background to the piece is that "nothing says ‘I don’t want children’ like a No-No Knife set" - true!
So, go ahead, shock yourself ;)

I received the Cuisipro Accutec Dual Grater recently, as one of the items on my Wedding Registry. One of the first presents to come in! It was really very exciting.
Well, we put it to the test this week. Technically the dual ends are for fine grating (citrus, spices, etc), and coarse grating (chocolate, hard cheese).
Well, […]

Ok, I was a weird kid, but I just loved to slice eggs with our egg slicer. I guess I was an early fan of Cooking Gadgets? hehe
Anyway, this is by far the sexiest egg slicer I’ve seen, from KitchenAid
Of course, being from KitchenAid, I’m sure it works a heck of a lot more reliably, […]
