The Corn Zipper from Kuhn Rikon "zips" the corn off the cob.
Unlike using a knife, the corn zipper is curved to hug the shape of the corn cob and zip the kernels right into your bowl. No wasted corn, no mess.
This handy gadget is $11.95

These are called ‘Basic Knives’, even though they are anything but. Designed by Caroline Noordijk, each knife brings multi-purpose functionality. The point was to make other tools redundant by adding more cutting actions into each knife.
These knives do it all: peeling, grating, zesting, and measuring. I am not sure how this affects the knife performance, […]

This is just about the only "safe" place to stick a knife into an electrical outlet.
The "No-No Knife set" is designed by Alexander Reh. His brief background to the piece is that "nothing says ‘I don’t want children’ like a No-No Knife set" - true!

While I’m on the topic of Wusthof, I might as well talk about another product they rock at: Kitchen Shears
Why do they rock? Cause they do flippin’ everything! The handle has these little insets to open bottles and jars, the kitchen shears are right and left handed, and are really heavy duty to cut just […]

It occurred to me as I was preparing my wedding registry to share some of my choices. Right now I’m registering for knives, particularly those from Wusthof. They are of a really high quality, last a long time and stay sharp. I’ve looked at a lot of knives and particularly like the ways these feel.
These […]
