Chinese Yixing Teapot

by Arieanna on March 8th, 2006

This is a Chinese Yixing Teapot unusually shaped like a horse. It probably has symbolic meaning, but I just wanted to share it for its unique beauty.

YiXing (pronounced ee-shing) teapots have long been known in China for their simple beauty and unique tea brewing qualities, but are relatively unheard of in the United States and the rest of the world.
