Cool Tool Pot Holder & Mini
I’ve been using the Cool Tool Pot Holder from Le Creuset for a couple of weeks now. I have both the large and small sizes (1 large, 2 small). I have the large one hanging from a magnet on the stove hood - perfect for those quick lid removals or jar openings or flips of french fries in the stove.
It’s really thick silicone, which makes it a great barrier against heat and heat damage… but on the down side it does make it a tad heavy for hanging up - you need to use a strong magnet, or better yet just use a hook on the wall.
One other nifty use for the Cool Tool is as a mixing mat - sit it under your bowl when you’re mixing with a hand mixer and you won’t have any more of the traveling bowl issues.
They also come in a mini version. I have one mini right by the toaster oven so that when I’m all done, I can use the small gripper to pull out the shelf to get at my toast or whatever (and then of course I get to use my Toast Tongs. The mini’s make good coasters too.
