Kitchen Witch
I grew up with two kitchen witches in my home. My mom has a couple of awesome ones that I have always loved. They could use replacing, but they are classic.
Do you know what a kitchen witch is? (Wikipedia)
“A kitchen witch is a practitioner of magic who uses the tools at hand to work his or her spells and create their rituals. For example, using a kitchen carving knife for an athame, a cast iron pot for a cauldron, etc. Common kitchen herbs frequently have magical uses as well.
Some kitchens have a kitchen witch doll, which is said to prevent burnt pots, keep meals hot and flavorful, and to weave the family together. The kitchen witch doll is often placed over the stove, near the kitchen entrance, or sometimes over a seating area in the kitchen.”
Well, I knew it was used for something, but never knew quite what. We always had ours over the sink area, but I suppose now I should recommend placing it elsewhere. I like the idea of placing it near the entrance, since over the stove it would get grimy. It may not make my food perfect, but it will make the kitchen look interesting, and if anyone asks, I can now say what it’s for.

My mom had a fat little witch hanging near our stove when I was growing up. She said it was for “good luck”.
But, alas, one day the portly little demon apparently got hungry and dove into a bubbling pot of spaghetti sauce. I dug her out, cleaned her off, and she recovered, but her lucky charm cover was a thing of the past!
