Palm Graters
Palm Graters are the greatest cheese grater revolution, ever. Grating cheese is just so annoyingly messy and tedious. With these graters, you have a built in, perfect size cup to catch the cheese, and, in the case of the one shown, a little ledge so not too much cheese flips over the side.
You can also get one very inexpensively from Ikea. This one from Rubbermaid also rocks because it measures the volume of your cheese:
